Shooting Strangers Unintendedly

Man Ran into my Camera in San Telmo Buenos Aires, Argentina
Don't worry, he is still alive and so am I. Photographing strangers can admittedly be tough at times. You always have to be prepared for their reactions. Sometimes I ask them for permission, sometimes not. It depends on the situation, my mood, and the picture I'm going to shoot. Either I frame a photo carefully or I just shoot from the hip and hope for the best. The latter was the case with this snapshot. The unknown gentleman, however, ran straight into the picture without asking my permission. *g* I decided the grim look on his face was caused by the sun shining into his eyes.

LOL -hopefully this was the cause. Otherwise I would fear about your health, ;-))).

Did you have on your running shoes?

Maybe he's smiling? Some people can look pretty fierce when they're smiling...

Great capture!

Don't you hate it when people do that.

I like this photo and your honesty. Yes, taking photos of people is sometimes tough but here in Canada it's legal whenever someone is in a public space as long as you don't make money from the photo. If you plan to sell the photo you must get signed permission.

I also noticed that the reaction of the people being photographed can differ greatly. Sometimes I get people waving from far off or striking poses, while other times people turn their back (and they weren't the main focus anyway)... you never know.
