Oblique Lorea Caffé

Lorea Caffé Logo in Oblique Perspective Totally Squeezed between Two Air Conditioners in Buenos Aires, Argentina
I guess signs appeal to humans because they speak to our senses as well as to our intellects. In general, signs do not have meanings per se. It's people that have meanings for signs. Thus signs are differently perceived by different people. This filigree café logo, however, had a distinct meaning and appealed to me in several ways. One very simple reason was my desire for coffee that was about to be satisfied. Coffee was within reach!
Another reason was the logo was so helplessly squeezed between these two monstrous air conditioners, so I had to photograph it. Not to worry poor little sign, I recognized you. (;

That is a rather strange and obscure place to place a sign! But you saw it! The need for caffeine can direct one's attention in many ways...you probably would have noticed this several blocks away! ;-)

.. *grin* ... I know that feeling when I feel my eyes about to pop.

For some reason this sign seems Cuban to me ... like I would know!!??

Sign-spotting! It's all in the mind.

Just the smell would work for me.

But note how those "monstrous air conditioners" have been painted to blend in with the architecture of the building! Lets not underestimate the value of an architecturally-challenged air conditioner - cool air is pretty nice on a hot day! :)

Coffee is an attention grabber for me too! And I admire your compassion for the poor squeezed-in, crowded sign. LOL
