Abasto de Buenos Aires — Shop until You Drop!

Impressive Art Deco Facade of the Shopping Mall Abasto de Buenos Aires, Argentina
Are you a fan of superlatives — and do you like shopping? Well, then this is the place to go. The Abasto de Buenos Aires shopping center offers you exactly 39,473 sqm sales area to shop until you drop. The mega mall is especially tailor-made for tourists who find great enjoyment in shopping. They even offer free transportation service from your hotel to the mall and back in case you are planning a shopping spree. Customer service is king! The most fascinating aspect to me, however, is the impressive Art Deco facade of the building.

Beautiful facade; and very different from anything I've seen in the states...our malls concentrate of concrete and function ... externally and internally.

I'd love to spend a few hours wandering about the Abasto de Buenos Aires.

Nice to visit your blog. I'm not a great shopper but I DO like the lovely maritime painting on one of your previous blogs.

Great architecture and I have not yet been to this shopping center. Next time I get to BA I will go try it out. Thanks for sharing information about it. Also, I like the White City photo. I have posted photos of BA and Uruguay on our travel photo site at www.vivalavoyage.com you might enjoy them, especially the polo ponies. Ciao!

The Abasto shopping used to be an big market at the begining of S.XX. later it was closed and some years ago was opened as a shopping.
My grandfather was an italian inmigrant and work there.
