Marina Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires

Marina in Puerto Madero in Buenos Aires, Argentina
There are many marinas in and around Buenos Aires which permit locals and visitors to enjoy the stunning waterways of the Rio de la Plata area. This rather small marina in Puerto Madero is located very central. It is a great place for those visiting and staying in the city of Buenos Aires. From here it is just a 15 minute walk to Plaza de Mayo.
What do you think is it that makes people passionate about sailing?

It's a very nice photo...and as for the sellers, I think they like the thrill of making a sale and talking to others.

I have read all of W.E.B. Griffin's novels about OSS agents in Buenos Aires during WWII, and the Rio de la Plata plays an important role. Nice to see what it really looks like!

I think people like sailing for the freedom it represents in their imaginations.

It's interesting that the water is so brown. Is this a temporary situation or is it always like that/

Some people wonder about the color of the Rio de la Plata. Although there is neither silver nor copper in the river he is well known as Silver River. But Copper River would be more appropriate regarding the color.

Anyway, the Rio de la Plata is filled with dark brown sediments that give the water the typical brownish tint. When the river mixes with the Atlantic Ocean everything gets washed out.

I was curious on the brown color too. What a combination, boats, water, train, city all in one shot.
I think people enjoy sailing because maybe it feels like they are free and escaping the responsibilities for a bit, becoming unanchored.

From my years in the boating business, it seems people that are exposed to it at an early age are hooked for the rest of their life.
