A Portrait of a Gentleman and his Parrot

Portrait of a Gentleman with a Parrot standing on a Balcony in Buenos Aires, Argentina
What might this gentleman be thinking? I found him and his little buddy contemplating the mysteries of the universe on their balcony. With the parrot on his shoulder he reminded me of Long John Silver watching out for Treasure Island. He had this look of deep knowing on his face that his feathered soul mate was sincere and absolutely "down-to-earth" and wouldn't fly away. I guess they were people watching and someone down the street caught their eye.

Finding the right shoulder to remain on while maintaining a good view of the neighborhood. All in the life of one wise parrot.

Well snapped.

A truly fascinating photo! We have people walking around Florida with parrots on their shoulders, too...

But what's with the head?

This is so full of interest! Looks like a lovely building, also!

Very cool photo. Though, my eyes can't stop turning to the head... what's with that head on his balcony?!

Exceptionally beautiful snap. I like the carving at the top of arch also.

The head makes it a bit surreal, like a snapshot from a Fellini movie.

He seems to have an angel watching over him.

What a catch! Not only the man and the parrot, but also the head! And the building looks great!

Sure, the head. Well, this must be the figurehead of Silver's schooner "Hispaniola".
Honestly, I'm not sure what the head really means, but I guess its part of the gentleman's creative self. The neighborhood he lives in has an artsy reputation.
