Buenos Aires est pacata!

Pigeons Have Conquered a Bird Monument in the Parque del Centenario in Buenos Aires, Argentina
This revelation might be a shock, but I must inform you that pigeons have occupied Buenos Aires. That's why I needed some time off. Defending the city kept me busy and opposing pigeons is quite exhausting. I have to admit that all fighting was in vain: after the intruders have successfully conquered the Plaza de Mayo, they continued their invasion at Parque del Centenario in the Caballito neighborhood. This time it might be just a boring monument, but who knows their real agenda. I think they are aiming to take over the world. What for? Who knows?

Welcome back! I wondered what had happened to you. I'm glad that you were out fighting pigeons, but sad that you weren't informed such a fight is a futile exercise.

Pigeons cannot be defeated. It is a fact of life. Not in Buenos Aires, not anywhere.

Not unless someone figures out how to turn the tables and poop all over them!

Welcome back. I missed your commentaries. You know, people will no longer inhabit the earth, but pigeons, like roaches, are forever.

LOL! The sculpture looks like a giant mommy bird with her entire brood hanging on for dear life.

I came to your blog because I read the word Buenos Aires in somebody else's blog. And I love your city, I think that it is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. I was there last January, after doing 3,000 kms in fascinating Patagonia, and even going to Antarctica. A trip for the soul!
I have pigeons on my roof and their noise wakes me up every morning, it is quite a sinister noise. I was told to get a toy snake and leave it somewhere on the roof, that pigeons are terrified of snakes, and they wont even go to a statue that has a bronze snake. In fact, there is a statue in Lisbon of a man on a horse stepping over a snake and that monument is absolutely clean, no pigeons go there. Could this help?

They might have an answer to the problem in North Africa: they eat them!

Fighting pigeons is a losing battle. Pigeons are resourceful and will outlive ALL of us.

We have an empty pigeon abode over here. You might want to pass on the address to some of your occupiers.
