This picture was taken in the evening just before the sun set. This time of the day has the most intense light for photography. The backlighting from the sun made the city look absolutely atmospheric. Maybe you remember the last cityscape view where Buenos Aires appeared almost white. This time the city makes a more grayish and kinda dirty impression, almost a bit smoggy. In the center of the picture you see the UADE building, the Universidad Argentina de la Empresa. This educational institution ranks among the top five of Argentina's universities.

The grey makes the buildings look like they are under construction - except for the pink one, which matches the sky! Interesting photo.
I love this kind of images. This picture made me think of that song called "La ciudad de la Furia".
In my 2008 trip I remember going to a bbq on top of a tall building somewhere near Abasto. I took so many pictures of the sunset until I was told by the others "enough pictures of sunset, let's see some people now" :) They were lucky that sunset passes so quick :)
Light matters a lot. And it is true that we are all the same color without light.
This one seems to give that calm feeling. The other picture seemed like it is dusty and hot.
Very atmospheric, indeed.
