The old discarded cranes at the Puerto Madero docks are not only eye catchy but also a popular photo point for all sorts of people. The other day I watched this young Argentine lady lying on the crossbar of the crane foot. She was posing like a pro and was been filmed and photographed by a little group. Don't think I have seen her before but judging from the ease of her performance she could be a model or singer.

The bold red and strong lines of the crane are a definite attraction. The young lady draped across the bar most certainly looks like she is no stronger to that side of the camera.
That's funny because today on The Villages I posted a photo of a man taking a photo!
Great minds....
This looks like an intriguing background. And that model must have a good sense of balance. Maybe she should be working with a net?
;-)
These type of places always offer great photo opps.
I took tons of picture of the cranes at Puerto Madero and you're right, they are eye catchy. The girl looks pretty young, maybe she's a star on the rise.
I can see why photographers like to use the cranes as props! I like how you captured the whole scene.
Snap! Snap! Argentine covergirl in the making?!
In this shot, the photographers actually look more shapely than the posing model!
She must be a model because not everyone can balance like that.
I know that it's a bit late but I just found your blog (and let me say that I'm loving it!).
Most certantly this photo refers to a young girl posing for her fifteen birthday book. As in the USA exists the so called "Sweet sixteen" here the tradition is to throw a big party when girls turn fifteen. They rent a place specially for the party, invite hundreds of people, arrange a fancy catering, etc. And none of this partys would be complete without the birthday girl showing to all the people present the photos that she took pretending to be like a model or something. Puerto Madero is a very popular place to do this sessions and you could see this any day you go there.
Hope this is useful for someone!
