Rain is not only a simple matter of pouring water splatting and drooling down over heads and rooftops. Rain is precious, making Buenos Aires so calm and peaceful. The sound it creates mutes the noises of the ever so hectic city at least for a brief moment. I enjoy this transient silence. Abruptly, nobody is out there anymore except for cars. The streets get cleaned, pedestrians look for shelter and vehicles compose this distinctive watery melody. As soon as the rain stops, the city recovers to the former bustle.

Rain does that for me too. I love the smell just before the rain hits. Here in Australia we simply do not get enough of it.
Rain, rain, go away- come back another day! Actually, rain is great - good for the flowers and grass!
And photos taken during or after a rain often sparkle as does this one! Ol' McDuck is everywhere, isn't he! Yuk!
It's raining here too, first signs of fall. Nice shot, it conveys that peace and quiet you're writing about.
I think the rain provides people with a break - and that's good.
Im agree with u! luv rain and enjoy his feeling!
this is gorgeous! rain allows for color on the pavement... ahhh... :)
I like this shot. With the people huddled under the shop fronts for shelter and the bright lights reflected in the puddles, it nicely captures rain in the city.
Wow, a Mcdonalds there also? I like the egg mcmuffin.
