The UBA, the Universidad de Buenos Aires, is Argentina's largest and most prestigious university with over 300,000 students enrolled in 13 faculties. Its number of academic staff has reached almost 30,000. These are amazing numbers. The building that has a certain affinity to an ancient Greek temple is the School of Law and Social Sciences. It has been design in 1938 by Arturo Ochoa, Ismael Chiapore and Pedro Vivent and was finally built in 1949 during the Perón administration.

Most interesting numbers at the university. Seems like housing and feeding that many would be a challenge for any country.
Great imposing building. 300,000 students! That's 5 times Bermuda's population!
A very striking building! Great photo, too! Years ago, my first university had 40,000 students and I thought that was massive. 300,000 is beyond comprehension!
It is a massive building, and the Greek architecture is welll suited to a law school. I like this part of town in November because the Avenida Libertador in front of the law school is lined with jacoranda trees that are vibrant purple in November.
Massive and impressive building!
A familiar classical style. If you had told me this was a city in Europe or North America, I would have believed you.
