The picture was taken while the sun was setting on "El Obelisco" after a beautiful summer day. The monument is located at the center of the "Plaza de la República" (Republic Square) where Avenida Corrientes meets the world's biggest Avenue, Avenida 9 de Julio.
On a hot and sunny afternoon a motorbike is slowly passing by one of these charming, old-fashioned supermarkets at Avenida Brasil and Calle Bolivar in the San Telmo neighborhood. The bohemian Barrio of San Pedro Telmo is one of most popular tourist areas in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
San Telmo is famous for its ample antique shops. This is one of the lovely shops in the "Galería Mercado de San Telmo", an ancient market hall. The market is located in Calle Defensa and worth visiting.
Eclecticism is a selection of elements from diverse styles of architecture for decorative designs. It can often be found in Buenos Aires. These houses are at the intersection of Avenida Independencia and Defensa road. Both are typical examples of Italian Eclecticism.
